BRAINYAXE is a website
and comedy show dedicated to smart, new standup, sketch and video comedy.
The word "alt" is often used to describe this type of comedy,
which, from what we can ascertain, means "not on television, not in
Ohio and usually viewed in dirty bars and blackbox theaters by 20-somethings
wearing ironic t-shirts." Definitions and ironic t-shirts are annoying
though, so we prefer to keep things straight forward, at least in this paragraph.
Anyway, we welcome recommendations of comedians and videos we may not have
heard of and want you to come to The Bowery Poetry Club and see our show.
